A weeklong Indian cultural festival titled ‘Ananda Jagya’ featuring Indian classical music, dance, theatre, fine arts and handicrafts organised by The Indira Gandhi Culture Centre, Dhaka, in association with the academy, was also a major event held this year.
But the most expensive show of the year was definitely Shahrukh Khan Night held on December 10 at the Army Stadium where thousands of viewers watched performances by the Bollywood stars including Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Arjun Rampal.
Antor Showbiz organised the million taka budget show, which created some controversies in the country.
Pakistani singer Shehzad Roy also performed in Dhaka.
